With the new year already upon us, Kresge, Platt & Abare is excited to announce new developments and plans for 2010. In addition to celebrating 20 years of service, KPA is implementing a new strategic plan, fostering continuing education for our staff, and supplementing an already strong team with talented new members.
Benjamin Platt, managing partner of KPA, has recently been awarded the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) Credential by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The CFF credential, established in 2008 by the AICPA, is granted to qualified CPAs with considerable professional experience in financial forensics. In order to acquire the CFF credential, Mr. Platt demonstrated significant business experience in the area of financial forensics and completed life-long learning and education activities in the area of financial forensics. In addition to this new credential, Mr. Platt is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), and is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).
Mr. Platt’s focus on continuing education permeates the rest of the staff at Kresge, Platt & Abare as well. Ashley Trimboli and Virginia Bauer, both staff accountants at KPA, have recently earned their Enrolled Agent (EA) status, which involves passing a three-part exam that many consider more difficult than the tax section of the CPA exam. This certification makes them both federally-authorized tax practitioners with technical expertise in the field of taxation and empowers them to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels of the IRS.
KPA is also excited to welcome Courtney Dittmeier to the team as a senior staff accountant. Courtney is currently licensed as a CPA in Missouri and is working on reciprocity with Florida and she holds a Masters in Accountancy (MAcc). She spent more than two years with PricewaterhouseCoopers and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in corporate tax preparation to KPA.
Charlene Hadjis has also joined the team as a staff accountant. She will be awarded a Masters in Accountancy in the summer of 2010 and brings a wide range of tax knowledge and experience to the team.
With these exciting new developments and a history of providing the highest quality products and services to our clients, there is no better time to experience Kresge, Platt & Abare’s wide range of financial solutions.
