Geoffrey D. LeShane, E.A.

 

Geoff LeShane graduated from Clark University with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Following his undergraduate career he moved to Atlanta and worked in a variety of business settings, becoming experienced in the fields of engineering, technology and sales and gaining strength from his range of experiences. After working for a family-owned accounting firm for four years, Geoff came to the St. Augustine area and began working at Kresge, Platt and Abare. He now has ten years of experience in accounting and tax work and practices as an Enrolled Agent. Geoff is drawn to litigation support and retirement planning for clients, saying his favorite aspect of accounting is being able to work with people and develop strong client relationships. As a family-oriented person, Geoff says “now is the time to take stock in what’s really important.” His commitment to personal values and range of experiences make him a valuable asset to KPA. 


Sheila Brown, CPA

 

Sheila Brown holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Religion/Philosophy from Flagler College. Following her undergraduate work, she began as a receptionist in a small accounting firm where she developed an interest in the accounting field. She returned to school to study accounting and continued working, gaining valuable experience in the field. In 1996 she earned her CPA. After working in both public accounting and private industry, Sheila came to Kresge, Platt and Abare in February of 2008. She appreciates KPA’s commitment to fostering new staff and has been a valuable source of information for the younger staff and interns who describe her as “a patient and understanding teacher.” Her interest and experience with the healthcare and hospitality fields has been beneficial to clients and the firm. Additionally, Sheila has knowledge of technology and systems development which has greatly aided our firm in developing efficient processes to help both clients and staff. When asked about the current economic situation and how she is handling it with her clients, she says: “I would love to use my professional experience, as well as my experience as a small business owner, to help businesses manage these challenging economic times and emerge from them as a viable competitor in the new marketplace.”

Audit Manager

 

Kimberly Mungaray, CPA

 

Our Audit Manager, Kimberly Mungaray, brings twenty-five years of audit and accounting experience to the firm. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from the University of Phoenix and a Masters of Accountancy from the University of North Florida. She gained valuable experience at a larger, local firm and is enjoying applying her acquired skills to our firm’s developing audit department. For several years Kimmie has been involved in not-for-profit work, including hospitals and church ministries. She remains very active within the church community and is currently working on a Masters of Pastoral Ministries. She appreciates the clients and the community-based atmosphere at Kresge, Platt and Abare and will provide valuable assistance in the further development of our growing audit department.
