We are very excited to announce that we are opening a second office location:

113 Nature Walk Parkway, Unit 103A St. Augustine, FL 32092

on SR 210, west of I-95, behind the McDonalds & Saint Johns shopping center. As you probably know, the population in St. Johns County is rapidly shifting toward this area and there is not currently an accounting/tax firm in this area. We believe we can take the same quality of tax consulting and preparation services to this area that we have been providing to St. Augustine. If you would prefer to meet with us at this location, simply let us know when you are making your appointment - we would love to see you there! Even more importantly, we need your help in getting the word out that we are now working in 210 area. If you know of anyone who might benefit from our services and would also prefer the 210 location, please let us know. Over the past 15 years our best source of new clients has been our existing clients - YOU! And we really appreciate your help in this new endeavor!

Darrell Salvia, Tax and Accounting Supervisor, will be supervising the Kresge, Platt & Abare State Road 210 office. He is a 2003 graduate of Flagler College and served as an intern for Kresge, Platt and Abare before joining the firm on a full-time basis after receiving his degree in Business and Accounting and has minors in Spanish and economics. Salvia has four plus years of experience preparing taxes and providing business consultation. His niche is in construction, land development and real estate. “I moved to St. Augustine from Stuart, Florida in 1998 and love the area,” said Salvia. “After serving an internship with Kresge, Platt & Abare, I felt this was a firm that provided a great environment and it was a place where I could enjoy what I do. They are a young firm and it is a relaxed professional atmosphere without the confines of a large corporation."


There is no doubt that you will hear anyone at our firm talking about GoFileRoom the next time you are in our office. We have just recently adopted this new system that performs three functions for us, 1) Project Management, 2) Document Management, and 3) Client Portal Access. We believe that this system will enable us to dramatically increase our level of customer service for you. Here is how it will work:

Project Management: Cathy Borino has been with our firm for about two years and will be our project manager. She will have knowledge about every project in our offices - when it came in, what documents were given to our office, what status the project is at now, when it will be complete, etc. Having this system and this level of detail on all our projects will allow us to properly staff, turnaround projects faster, better track documents, and provide feedback to clients as to the status of their projects.

Document Management: It seems like everybody is going "paperless" these days. We originally started working toward a paperless office back in 2003 and we have made great strides in this direction. Clearly, when working with the IRS and other governmental agencies, becoming truly paperless will be impossible. However, with GoFileRoom's system of document management, we are taking yet another step to make sure that all of our clients' documents and all of our firm's documents are easily accessible, archived properly and are properly routed to the appropriate professional so that projects can be completed more quickly.

Client Portal Access: This is one of the most exciting aspects of GoFileRoom! This new system gives us the ability to provide you access to the internet. In the same way that you can login to your bank's web site and look at your bank statements and bill payments, you will now have the ability to login to our web site and look at prior year's individual and business tax returns, tax work papers, personal and business financial statements, contracts, property purchase and sale agreements, etc. In fact, any document that you might want to have access to can be stored on our portal - financial records, estate planning records, health records - the options are limitless. You can even download an print any of these documents or even email them to other parties. Imagine how much easier that next mortgage or refinance or meeting with your attorney can be! We believe that will be a great way to get all your important documents into one, easily accessible location.
